MONROE - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office yesterday issued descriptions of two people sought for the theft Thursday of a donation can at a Frenchtown Township convenience store.

Surveillance tape from inside Kenny's Market on Telegraph Road north of Grafton Road shows a white female taking the can from the counter near the store's cash register and concealing it in her coat. The woman is believed to have been accompanied by a man who also was seen on the tape.

It was not known how much money was in the can. The money was to have been used to help pay medical expenses for a local boy who suffers from a lung disease and nervous and muscular deterioration.

The female suspect had long blond hair and wore a black coat with a hood, deputies said.

The male suspect had short blond or light brown hair, wore a red coat with a hood and sleeves that were black and either white or gray, and had sunglasses on top of his head.
