A second man has been charged with murder in the death of Marc Draper, who was killed in his central Toledo house Nov. 22 while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, authorities said.

Darin Armstrong, 27, of 2832 Kylemore Rd. was charged with murder and aggravated robbery. He is being held in the Lucas County jail without bond, authorities said.

Armstrong was arraigned yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court. He was arrested at his West Toledo home about 1 p.m. Monday. The other suspect, Christopher Burleson, 42, of 1706 Joffre Ave. was indicted in December on one count of murder in Draper's death.

He also was indicted for aggravated robbery and having a weapon while under disability, each with a gun specification, as well as obstructing justice. He remains in the county jail.

Draper, 36, was cooking dinner and on the telephone when he was fatally shot about 3 a.m. at 1638 Freeman St. He died from a single gunshot wound to the left side of his head, authorities said.

His father, Ronnie Draper, Sr., 58, who owns the Freeman Street house, was struck on the head during the incident and was treated at Toledo Hospital.

Money was strewn about the house, and police recovered a handgun in the backyard, authorities said.
