Blaze destroys Bloomdale banquet hall
5/15/2008BLOOMDALE, Ohio A blaze of a yet unknown origin destroyed a banquet hall early Thursday in this Wood County village, authorities said.
The blaze was reported about 3:55 a.m., according to the Wood County Sheriff s Office.
Fire crews contained the blaze before it could spread to other buildings, a dispatcher at the sheriff s office said.
Firefighters were still at the scene about three hours later, by which time the building was a total loss, the dispatcher said.
Bloomdale, a village of about 700 people, is about 25 miles south of Toledo.
