Fire destroys several boats in Marblehead

MARBLEHEAD, Ohio A blaze of a yet undetermined origin destroyed at least four boats late Monday and early Tuesday in Bay Point Marina on Lake Erie, authorities said.

There were no reports of injuries.

The fire, which had started on one of the boats, was reported about 11:15 p.m. Area fire crews left the scene shortly after 3 a.m., according to the Ottawa County Sheriff s Office.

The cause of the fire was under investigation as of 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Marblehead is about 45 miles east of Toledo.
