Toledo police shot a man during a drug raid late Thursday at a South Toledo duplex, Toledo police Capt. Ray Carroll said.

Perry Buck Jr., 27, of 223 1/2 Wasaon St. near Segur Avenue, who was shot in the wrist, was admitted at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, with charges against him pending, Captain Carroll said. A hospital spokesman said Friday she had no information about a person by that name.

Mr. Buck was shot about 10:50 p.m. when he pointed a shotgun at the lead officer coming through the front door of his upper-floor residence, the captain said.

Also, a woman was detained at that location, the captain said. He did not release her name.

A 20-gauge shotgun, 1.5 grams of crack cocaine, three Vicodin pills, and 12 grams of marijuana were seized at the residence, police said.

Authorities released no further details about the incident early Friday.
