The body of a man was retrieved early Tuesday afternoon from Swan Creek near the Owens Corning corporate headquarters in downtown Toledo.

The name of the man is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of family members. Police retrieved a wallet.

The body was spotted about 2 p.m. by a tour boat captain on the river, Toledo police Sgt. Phil Toney said.

It appears the victim, described as an adult white man, had been in the water for some time, he said.

There doesn't appear to be foul play in the man's death and police are awaiting results of an examination by the Lucas County Coroner's Office, Sergeant Toney said.

The coroner's office is expected to conduct the autopsy on Wednesday.
