Man shot in foot in downtown Toledo

A man was shot in the foot late Wednesday night in downtown Toledo, police said.

Derrick Neal, 32, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where a hospital official said she had no information on a patient by that name.

Police said his injuries didn t appear to be life-threatening.

Mr. Neal told police he was walking down North Erie Street when he heard several gunshots and began running. He later noticed he had been shot in the left foot, a report said.
