Police seek tips in slaying of bicyclist

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about the death of an East Toledo man killed Monday while riding his bike to work, authorities said.

David Babcock, 46, of 908 Kingston Ave. was shot once in the mouth outside a house at 812 Western Ave. about

5:45 a.m., police said. He died shortly after arrival at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Police said that witnesses had heard Mr. Babcock and another man arguing prior to the shooting but are unsure what the dispute was about. They are continuing to investigate possible motives.
