4 teens face charges over Northwood graffiti

Four teenagers have been charged with spray-painting graffiti in Northwood that damaged the I-280 overpass on Curtice Road as well as several commercial properties, authorities announced yesterday.

Christopher Rodriguez, 18, and Kyle Garrett, 18, both of Oregon, have been charged in Perrysburg Municipal Court with three counts each of felony vandalism and three counts each of misdemeanor criminal mischief.

They are accused of spray-painting graffiti on the overpass and commercial properties May 16. That led to a case of copycat vandalism the following weekend, police said.

A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, both of Toledo, have been charged in Wood County Juvenile Court withone count each of delinquency in connection with vandalism.

They are accused of vandalizing parts of the Great Eastern shopping center on Woodville Road.

The total damage stemming from the incidents was over $3,000, police said.
