The Toledo Fire Department is seeking information about an arson fire Aug. 9 at a vacant house in the north end that took firefighters from three stations about 20 minutes to control, authorities said.

Firefighters arrived at 3029 Chestnut St. about 8:50 a.m. and found heavy smoke and flames. The fire started in a rear bedroom of the one-story home and spread to three other rooms, causing damage but no injuries, authorities said.

Authorities said two black males were seen running from the structure to a maroon vehicle parked down the street. One was wearing a white, hooded sweatshirt with colorful print.

The Lucas County auditor's Web site lists the owner of the house as Kelvin Gist.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111.
