Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about an armed robbery Tuesday at the Bush Quick Stop in the north end, authorities said.

A man walked into the carryout, 702 Bush St., about 2 p.m. and purchased a drink and a couple of snack cakes and ate them outside, police said.

He walked back into the store, approached the counter, and asked for cigarettes. The employee asked him for identification, and the man reached in his pocket, pulled out a handgun, and demanded money, police said.

The employee gave the man about $300 and the man fled down Erie Street, police said.

The robber was described as white, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighing about 160 pounds, with blond hair. He was wearing a dark T-shirt and gray sweat pants and had a beard, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
