Findlay police seek armed robber

FINDLAY A robber with a gun held up the Great Scot Supermarket on Broad Avenue about 1 a.m. Friday.

Findlay Police Lt. Chuck Wilson said the man walked up to the checkout line with beer and ham then told the clerk he didn t want to buy the ham. When the clerk turned his back to take the meat off the register receipt, the robber pulled out a black pistol and told the clerk to give him all the money in the register drawer.

The robber fled on foot with the money and the beer heading north on Broad Avenue. He is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years old, approximately 5-foot-10, 180 pounds with graying black hair. He was wearing a black baseball hat, dark-colored jeans and sweatshirt, sunglasses, and leather motorcycle gloves.
