Toledo motorcyclist held in Bowling Green after I-75 chase

BOWLING GREEN Bond was set yesterday at $50,000 in Bowling Green Municipal Court for a Toledo motorcyclist arrested following a police chase.

Jeffrey Germain, 20, was being held in the Wood County jail on charges of failure to comply with the order of a police officer, driving without a motorcycle endorsement, driving left of center, and disregard of safety on a highway.

The Ohio Highway Patrol reported seeing Mr. Germain s motorcycle traveling on I-75 at speeds in excess of 120 mph.

After he exited at Bowling Green, city police chased him for a short time before the pursuit was called off because of safety concerns, according to Bowling Green police,

Shortly after Mr. Germain parked the motorcycle and began walking, he was apprehended on North Orleans Avenue, police said.
