Tips sought on gunmen who robbed 2 taxi drivers

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about two robberies last week of Black & White Cab Co. drivers that are believed to be related, authorities said.

Raul Saldana, 46, received a call about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday asking him to pick up a man at 3378 Otto St. in the city's north end, police said.

Mr. Saldana pulled into a driveway and was approached by three men wearing hooded sweatshirts and other black clothing.

Two of the men pulled out guns, demanded money, and fled with $3, police said.

The second incident occurred about 11:15 p.m. a mile away at 1810 Booth Ave.

James Ochoa, 57, arrived at the Booth address to pick up a man and was robbed of $50 by two men with guns.

All of the suspects were described as black. One was believed to be 20 years old,

5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds. A second was between 15 and 17 years old, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds. The third man was between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing about 250 pounds.
