Two people were injured, one seriously, in a head-on collision on State Route 2 near Lallendorf Road in Oregon Monday afternoon, closing the highway for nearly two hours, Oregon police said.

Investigators said a Buick Park Avenue driven by Jeremiah Huddleston, 24, Curtice, Ohio, went left of center and collided with a Chevrolet Traverse driven by Lisa Peery, 34, of Oregon.

Mr. Huddleston was flown to Toledo Hospital, where he was in critical condition Monday night, a hospital spokesman said.

Ms. Peery was taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, where her condition was not available.

Investigators said witnesses told them Mr. Huddleston's vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and had gone left of center several times before the collision, just west of Pearson Metropark. He was not wearing a seatbelt, police said, while Ms. Peery used a seatbelt.
