Man shoots, kills self to avoid being arrested
3/19/2011A Sylvania Township man about to be arrested by police fatally shot himself in the head Friday.
Christopher Clark, 20, of the 6300 block of Greenacre Road, was leaving an address on Weber Street in Toledo in the afternoon when police showed up with a warrant for his arrest on robbery and assault charges. He shot himself as officers approached.
According to an arrest warrant, he slapped a woman with a shoe and struck her in the face with his hand March 4, then took her purse and handgun and fled.
