Toledo police are searching for two people in the shooting of a West Toledo man late Friday night.

Police said Jordan Lentz, 35, was shot by two unknown assailants at the rear of his residence in the 1600 block of West Central Avenue near Jackman Road about 10:40 p.m.

They said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Mr. Lentz's father, Matt Lentz, said his son was just leaving the house on a shopping errand and was walking to his van that was parked behind the house when a friend in the home heard two shots.

The friend ran outside and saw a gold-colored car drive away.

Mr. Lentz said his son was being treated in Toledo Hospital for gunshot wounds in the abdomen and leg.
