TIFFIN — Seneca County’s multi-jurisdiction drug task force said on Monday it made one of the largest seizures of drugs and money in a series of raids conducted in Seneca and Wood counties Friday, including $381,000 cash, 12 firearms, approximately 6 pounds of cocaine, 12 marijuana plants, and drug paraphernalia.

Homes were raided in the 2000 block of Fostoria Road, Perry Township in Wood County, the 6000 block of West Liberty Township Road 36, and the 9000 block of West Jackson Township Road 36, both near Kansas, in Seneca County.

No arrests were made by agents from the Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit, although charges were pending once laboratory results were confirmed.

Tiffin Police Detective Charles W. Boyer said area police agencies, sheriff deputies and special agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force in Toledo, as well as agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification Narcotics Division in Bowling Green were involved.

“This drug operation resulted in one of the largest seizures of drugs and U.S. currency in the history of our task force in Seneca County” Detective Boyer said.
