FOSTORIA -- One person was killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash at Washington Township Road 243 and Hancock County Road 109, sheriff's deputies said.

Pronounced dead at the scene was Oscar Casiano, 54, of Fostoria. Deputies said his van was eastbound on County Road 109 about 2:40 p.m. when it was struck by a car driven by Carol McAfee, 59, of Fostoria, which was southbound on Township Road 243. She stopped for a stop sign at the intersection before starting across County Road 109, deputies said. The force of the crash caused the van to spin, then roll over several times.

Ms. McAfee was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay for treatment of possible injuries, deputies said. A hospital spokesman said she had no data about a person by that name.

Both drivers wore seat belts. No citations were issued Tuesday. The accident remains under investigation, deputies said.

Fostoria is about 35 miles southeast of Toledo.
