A gang sweep netted 55 arrests in the city Thursday, Toledo police Lt. Brad Weis said.
The multiagency sweep — including representatives of the FBI; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the Border Patrol; the Immigration and Customs Enforcement division; the Parole Authority; and Toledo Police — took more than eight hours. Police recovered two handguns, a shotgun, and about $20,000 in drugs, he said.
Several of those arrested were picked up on federal gun charges; others were released at the scene.
