Man killed early Sunday in South Toledo
4/17/2011A 36-year-old man was shot dead in an altercation with three other individuals early Sunday morning in Toledo’s Old South End, Toledo Police said.
David Wallerstein was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the street at the intersection of Broadway and Western Avenue, just south of downtown, after police were called about 5 a.m.
Police said Wallerstein had been in an altercation with three males and one of them shot him.
The victim was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after. According to Toledo Municipal Court records, Wallerstein’s address was in the 300 block of Maumee Street in South Toledo.
