Two Toledo men indicted in shooting death of 71-year-old man

Two Toledo men charged in the death of a 71-year-old Toledo man were indicted Thursday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Kenneth Anderson, 29, of 917 Forest Ave, and Thomas Johnson, 21, of 3265 Glenwood Ave., are each charged with one count each of aggravated murder, murder, and aggravated robbery. All counts contain a gun specification. Johnson also was charged with tampering with evidence. They are being held at the Lucas County jail in lieu of $1 million bond each.

If convicted, both men face up to life in prison.

Charles Harris, Jr., known to many as “Chuck A Luck,” was shot twice in the head about 7:30 p.m. April 13 outside the garage where he stored his lawn-care equipment in an alley near Nebraska Avenue. Authorities believe robbery was the motive.
