A Toledo motorcyclist was injured Friday evening when an oncoming car turned in front of him in Springfield Township, troopers at the Toledo post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Keith Brown, 50, of Yosemite, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Airport Highway at Rhode Island Road about 6:40 p.m. when a westbound car driven by Samuel Taylor, 21, of Salisbury Road in Monclova Township, turned left intending to reach the gas station on the south side of Airport.

Mr. Brown was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, and was admitted in serious condition, troopers said. He was wearing a helmet.

Mr. Taylor wore a seat belt and was not injured.

No citations were issued Friday night, and troopers continue to investigate the crash.
