Crash shuts U.S. 23 in Springfield Twp.

A section of I-475/U.S. 23 between Airport Highway and Central Avenue was closed in both directions for more than five hours — part of the time during rush hour — Wednesday after an early morning crash involving a tractor-trailer rig, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred about 3:43 a.m. in Springfield Township and left the rig in a ditch. Troopers did not say which way the rig was headed.

There were no reports of injuries, according to the patrol’s Bowling Green post. Reports from the scene indicate another vehicle may have been involved.
