Single-vehicle crash kills 55-year-old man

CUSTAR — A 55-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Wood County Monday afternoon.

Dennis Mockensturm, of Rudolph, Ohio, was driving south on Custar Road around 2:30 p.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and into a building at 8975 Custar, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said it appears Mr. Mockensturm “may have had a medical condition prior to the crash.”

There were no other passengers in the vehicle and no one else was injured in the crash, which is still under investigation.
