Fremont police ask for information in Sunday morning shooting

FREMONT -- Police in Fremont are investigating an early morning shooting at a bar that injured an 18-year-old Sandusky man.

Authorities said Raylon Pettis was taken to Physicians Choice Hospital for treatment of at least one gunshot wound. Officers found Mr. Pettis inside the door of Tailgator’s Bar, 740 N. Fifth St.

His condition could not be immediately obtained. A hospital employee said she could release no information about his treatment, and said she did not know if he had been discharged or transferred to another facility.

The shooting happened at about 1:15 a.m. Police said there was a large crowd gathered at the bar when they arrived.
