Toledo police are asking for help in solving the murder of a 17-year-old Toledo boy.

Montelle Taylor was shot and killed Friday; he was found bleeding on Auburn Avenue, near West Bancroft Street around 1:20 a.m. He was alert and talking, but later died at Toledo Hospital.

He was shot three times — twice in the chest and once in arm.

Detective Kermit Quinn said the teen could have been the victim of gang violence, but there is no definite connection or anything to suggest Montelle was in a gang.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
