BOWLING GREEN -- Police in Bowling Green seized a number of computer terminals from a local Internet sweepstakes cafe as part of an ongoing investigation into the businesses operations.

It was unclear how many of the terminals were taken from No Limit Internet Cafe, 106 E. Napoleon Rd., on Tuesday but police said the cafe appears to be violating Ohio gambling laws.

The business has been open for about two months.

Patrons can buy a phone card with Internet time and then log on to the terminals to play the sweepstakes games.

While the games are similar to playing the slot machines in casinos, Ohio hasn’t declared it gambling. Without statewide regulation, local communities are left to decide how to handle the new businesses, if they should be allowed or what types of regulations to establish.
