A Toledo man charged with pulling a gun on a University of Toledo police officer will be arraigned in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Tuesday on felonious assault charges.

Charles Polinski, 35, of 3607 Homewood Ave. was arrested by UT police April 10 after he allegedly threatened another man with a gun and then pointed the gun at a university officer. He then attempted to flee but was quickly arrested.

On April 21, he was indicted by a grand jury with carrying a concealed weapon and having a weapon as a felon. Judge Frederick McDonald set an Aug. 30 pretrial in that case.

This week, he was indicted on two additional counts of felonious assault, each with gun specifications. If convicted on all charges, he faces up to 25 ½ years in prison. He remains in custody at the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
