WAYNESVILLE, Ohio — Authorities have identified a Findlay man who died after the sport utility vehicle in which he was riding was struck by a dump truck in Warren County’s Wayne Township, troopers at the Lebanon, Ohio, post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The man was identified as Randy A. Larson, 33, who was taken by medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where he died.

Troopers said Mr. Larson was a passenger in an SUV driven by Stephen E. Smith, 47, of Findlay, about 5 p.m. Tuesday that was eastbound on Township Line Road when it failed to yield for a stop sign at Old State Rt. 122. The SUV was struck by a northbound dump truck driven by Timothy Miller, 57, of Xenia, Ohio.

Mr. Smith was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition was not available last night.
