3 teenagers sought in beating, robbery of Toledo resident
8/13/2011Authorities are looking for three teenagers who jumped a Toledo man, beat him, and robbed him of a can of beer, police said.
George Sutherland, 54, told police he was leaving the Broadway Mini Mart, 1723 Broadway St., about 8:15 p.m. Monday when three teenage boys yelled at him and began to punch him. The teens continued to kick and punch the man and then stole the 24-ounce beer he had just purchased.
The teens fled on foot toward Orchard Street.
Police describe the three assailants as black teens about 14 to 17 years old. One was wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants and had short, braided hair. He is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. The other two teens were wearing black shorts, police said.
