Bates appointed to Ohio organized crime panel

COLUMBUS-- Gov. John Kasich has reappointed Lucas County Prosecutor Julia Bates to the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission. Her term runs until Sept. 3, 2014.

Led by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, the commission coordinates investigations of organized criminal activity. Ms. Bates is one of two county prosecutors on the seven-member commission.
