Stabbing victim dies

A Toledo man died in a hospital Monday night after he was stabbed in his South Toledo residence, authorities said.

Michael Cobb, 54, of the 200 block of Kingswood Trail Drive, was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m. in the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo police said.

The victim was found lying on the floor with a knife wound in his chest, police said.

Sgt. Phil Toney said police had no suspects as of about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday in what police are calling a murder. No further details were released.

This is the 20th homicide in the greater Toledo area this year.
