Toledo man critically injured in car/bus collision
9/20/2011A Toledo man was in critical condition Tuesday night from injuries he suffered in a collision with an empty Lake High School school bus earlier in the day.
State troopers with the Bowling Green post said James Wagener, 29, was westbound on Walbridge Road in Wood County’s Lake Township when he failed to stop at a stop sign on Tracy Road and collided with a northbound school bus driven by Pauline M. Adams, 61, of Walbridge, Ohio.
Troopers said Mr. Wagener was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from his 1998 Ford Taurus. The accident was reported at 2:15 p.m.
Mr. Wagener was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, for treatment; Ms. Adams was not injured, troopers said.
