3 indicted for drugs in 2 area traffic stops

Three people have been indicted on drug charges for two stops made locally last week by the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Robert Navarez, 25, of Los Angeles, and Vicente Quezada, Jr., 21, of Van Nuys, Calif., were charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, and possession of criminal tools after authorities reportedly found 53 pounds of cocaine valued at $2.4 million in a Sept. 22 traffic stop.

The men are scheduled for arraignment Oct. 6 in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

In a separate case, Maria V. Montanez, 36, of Cleveland was indicted for possession of marijuana and trafficking in marijuana. She was arrested Sept. 21 after troopers reportedly found $90,000 in marijuana in her vehicle. She will be arraigned Oct. 5.
