A Toledo man is being sought in the stabbing of his wife, police said yesterday.

Police are looking for Walter Benton, 29, of 815 North Ontario St., whose wife, Jessica, 22, was stabbed late Thursday. She was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where a hospital spokesman said she had no information on her condition.

Police found her in a pool of blood about 11 p.m. at an apartment in Vistula Manor, police said. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
