W. Toledo Speedway robber with knife sought

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about an armed robbery last week at a Speedway gas station in West Toledo.

The robber walked into the convenience store at the gas station, 2502 West Alexis Rd. near Douglas Road, about 5:50 a.m. Sept. 24 and started to buy a cup of coffee. He then threatened the clerk with a razor knife, robbed him of cash, and ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as a white man with brown hair, about 40 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing jeans, white tennis shoes, and a red polo shirt with a black collar and black trim around the sleeves.

Police said he was with another man, also white, about 45 years old, with brown hair, 6 feet tall, and weighing about 180 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
