Semi drives off road in Northwood
10/8/2011A tractor-trailer rig on northbound I-75 in Northwood late Friday drove off the road, through a guardrail, across a field, and over three trees, authorities said.
The semi came to a stop in the lot of a defunct trucking company in the 500 block of Oregon Road.
Authorities were alerted about 11:30 p.m. by passing motorists, who phoned in to say they'd seen the rig drive off the interstate at high speed.
The driver's condition was not reported.
