4 treated after apartment blaze in Huron

HURON, Ohio — Four people, including a child, were injured in an apartment fire Sunday in this Erie County community, authorities said.

The victims, whose names were not released were treated for smoke inhalation at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, according to the Huron fire department.

The fire at Heron Cove Apartments in the 200 block of Welde Drive was reported about 4:28 p.m. Firefighters brought it under control in about 10 minutes, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ohio Fire Marshal’s office.

Huron is about 65 miles southeast of Toledo.
