Tips are needed on armed robbery of pizza store

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about an armed robbery this week at a Little Caesars Pizza store in South Toledo.

The robber walked into the store, 2222 North Reynolds Rd. near West Bancroft Street, about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, threatened the clerk with a handgun, robbed him of cash, and ran out of the store, police said.

The robber was described as a black man in his mid-30s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was armed with a black semiautomatic pistol, according to the police report.

The incident was captured by a security camera.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers program. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
