BOWLING GREEN — A 22-year-old man was arrested Monday after police found he was sending photos of himself engaging in “illicit sexual acts” with a juvenile family member.

Authorities say Andrew Lemay, 360 Colony Lane, Apt. 16, Bowling Green, has been charged with one count of rape for sending the pictures to at least one person. Bowling Green police Lt. Brad Biller only described the recipient as an acquaintance.

It is possible the recipient will face charges, the lieutenant said.

Bowling Green police officers executed a search warrant at Mr. Lemay’s apartment and arrested the man while he was at work. The juvenile family member was evaluated at the scene by authorities from the Wood County Department of Job and Family Services.

The juvenile was then released to other family members pending medical evaluation, authorities said.

Lieutenant Biller could not comment on the age or sex of the victim.

Authorities have said the investigation is ongoing and they anticipate additional charges being brought against Mr. Lemay and other people involved in the incident.

According to Bowling Green Municipal Court records, Mr. Lemay, just last week, was facing eviction, but on Nov. 3, the case was dismissed.

Mr. Lemay is being held in the Wood County jail. An arraignment date on the rape charge has not yet been set, according to court records.
