A tractor-trailer rig hauling two steel coils each weighing 47,000 pounds rests on its side after a multi-vehicle crash that closed West Central Avenue in western Lucas County’s Richfield Township for about four hours.

The Ohio Highway Patrol said the truck, a minivan, and at least one car collided on West Central at Langenderfer Road about 7:45 a.m. Monday. After it overturned, the truck lay across the road, and at least one of the other two vehicles ended up in the ditch, troopers said.

No injuries were reported, and the crash remained under investigation late Monday night.

Traffic at the intersection returned to normal by about noon, troopers said.
