Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested a Colorado man after they found 21 pounds of hydroponic marijuana in a vehicle traveling on the Ohio Turnpike.

Ilya Klyuchnikov, 33, of Greenwood Village, Colo., was driving a 2011 Crown Victoria and was stopped about 1:36 p.m. Tuesday afternoon on the turnpike, near Perrysburg, for a marked-lanes violation and wearing headphones, authorities said.

A drug-sniffing canine was called to the vehicle where the marijuana, valued at more than $100,000, was found. Hydroponic marijuana is grown indoors using a hydroponics system of tubes and filters with water and fertilizers.

The suspect is being held in the Wood County jail, charged with drug abuse, trafficking marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

If convicted, the suspect faces up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
