Toledo firefighters battle a blaze in a vacant building at 2125 Dorr St., the second here in less than two weeks. Fire Lt. Matthew Hertzfeld said the building caught fire about 8 a.m. Friday and was left to burn. Fire crews did enter the building to try to save it, but damage from the first fire made it unsafe, the lieutenant said. Crews set up a perimeter around the building to make sure the fire did not spread and conducted a controlled burn. Despite no official ruling, because the building was vacant, it is being investigated as an arson. No injuries were reported, and the building was razed. The building dated to 1924 and was owned by Timothy Wyse of Woodland Avenue, according to Lucas County auditor’s records.
