Man pleads guilty in home invasion

A second man arrested in a May home invasion on Brandon Road has entered a plea in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for his role.

Gabriel Demiguel, 20, of 505 Glenwood Rd. pleaded guilty this week to one count of aggravated robbery with a gun specification. Additional charges of aggravated burglary, kidnapping, and having a weapon as a felon will be dismissed at his Dec. 27 sentencing. He faces up to 13 years in prison when sentenced by Judge Myron Duhart.

Demiguel admitted involvement in a May 30 home invasion at 5122 Brandon Rd.He pointed a shotgun at two men at the home, where they went to procure drugs. He was apprehended a short time after the incident.

A second man, John Tooson, 21, of 6201 Garden Rd., Bldg G, Apt. 113, pleaded guilty Nov. 18 to aggravated burglary. Tooson faces up to 10 years in prison when sentenced Jan. 11 by Judge Gene Zmuda.

Tooson was arrested shortly after the incident and after being shot in the leg by an off-duty sheriff's deputy.
