BOWLING GREEN — Police are investigating an armed robbery of a gas station in Bowling Green.

Gas Express, 333 S. Main St., Bowling Green, was robbed at 9:32 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.

About four minutes before the robbery call came into 911, officers were dispatched to a report of a person shot near the north end of Bowling Green, but once arriving at the scene, neither a victim nor caller was found, authorities said.

Police believe the person shot call was made as a diversion.

At Gas Express, the clerk said two men entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes.

The first man is described by police as white, about 5 feet, 9 inches, about 150 pounds, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a blue bandanna over his face, a baseball hat, tennis shoes, a gray sweatshirt, and blue jeans. He was carrying a black bookbag and a black handgun.

The second suspect is described as white, about 6 feet, between 200 and 225 pounds, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a mask over his face, tennis shoes, a gray sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the men is asked to call Bowling Green police at 419-352-2571 or Wood County CrimeStoppers at 419-352-0077.
