Perrysburg police say a 34-year-old Toledo man used Facebook to solicit underage girls to perform nude Web cam modeling.

Daniel Jones, 3019 Nebraska Ave., Lot 71, was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with one count of attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, according to the Perrysburg Police Department.

Police say Mr. Jones was using the popular social networking Web site to meet the girls.

He was arrested about 12:15 p.m. at Levis Commons Boulevard.

Last night he remained in the Wood County jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.

In the afternoon, Mr. Jones had complained of a back problem and was taken to St. Luke's Hospital where he was examined, Perrysburg Deputy Chief Mike Gilmore said.

The deputy chief declined to comment on the age range of the girls involved and what led police to suspect Mr. Jones.

The deputy chief said they are "worried that there are some other girls he was trying to contact that we don't know about."

"We strive to keep our community safe and it's really, really important for us to keep our children safe, especially from those who are targeting them," the deputy chief said.
