City of Toledo officials Tuesday reached an agreement with one of four unions that have been in contract negotiations.
City council unanimously approved a fact-finding report with the Toledo Fire Chiefs Association that includes a wage freeze until 2014.
The report, approved last week by the union, also includes a gradual elimination of the city’s portion of employee pension pickup over the three-year contract, as well as an increase in employee health insurance contributions.
The city is still in the negotiation process with its police, fire and police command officers unions.
