Information sought on Sylvania Twp. robbery
1/21/2012Authorities ask for help in solving the armed robbery of an elderly woman Thursday in Sylvania Township.
The victim was entering an apartment building on Westmar Court about 5:22 p.m. when a man pointed a handgun at her and took her purse and a nylon bag, Sylvania Township police said. The man -- black, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and very thin -- fled on foot. The purse was found near the intersection of Central Avenue and Secor Road.
