Tecumseh police seeking help to find armed robber

    TECUMSEH, Mich. — City police are asking the public to help them identify the man they say is responsible for two armed robberies.

    Police describe the man as white, about 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a slim build, and between 30 and 40 years old.

    The first robbery was Thursday at about 9 p.m. at the Fabricare Laundromat, 115 Herrick Park Dr. The second robbery was reported on Saturday, just after 5 p.m., at Modish Hair and Nail Salon, 208 E. Chicago Blvd.

    In each incident the man went into the business and showed a knife and demanded money from employees, authorities said.

    He got away with an undetermined amount of cash in each robbery.

    During the first robbery, the man wore a stocking cap, a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and dark colored gloves. In the second robbery he wore a dark stocking cap, a dark colored jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans, Tecumseh police said.

    The man was seen leaving the scene of the Jan. 21 robbery in a “newer” dark-colored full-size extended cab Chevy pick-up.
